讀旅遊評價學文法- 過去假設條件句

past unreal conditional基本句型：

Had we known that the price that we would have to pay for this success, we never would have wanted it.

如果我知道成功需付的代價，我根本不會想要成功。

（過去不知道成功需付的代價）

這個文法很適合使用在給予評價時，因為旅遊時，常發生去了才發現「期待與現實不一樣」的狀況。Tripadvisor是一個很熱門的旅遊網站，上面可以看到許多人的出遊後的評價，也可以常常看到使用這個文法所寫出的句子。以下就是兩個範例。

• 範例：旅遊評價一

Had we known about the weather and restaurant closures, we would have gone elsewhere. 

如果我們知道天氣狀況與餐廳關閉，我們會選擇住在別的民宿。

（過去不知道天氣狀況與餐廳關閉）

這一句也就等於：

If we had known about the weather and restaurant closures, we would have gone elsewhere. 

接下來順便學另外一句：

We did get a discounted off season rate, but we would have rather paid the full price and gone during the winter (high season) to have avoided the negative factors that impacted our stay. 

我們有獲得淡季優惠價，但是我們寧願在旺季前往並且支付全額價錢，以避免這次淡季前往旅遊所遇到的負面影響。

• 範例：旅遊評價二

The place isn’t particularly bad, but I need to rate it down as we would have never staid there had the hotel correctly communicated the total cost of the stay at the time of reservation.

這地方不是特別糟，但是我給予低分因為如果我們在訂位時就知道全部的價錢，我們就不會選擇來這邊住。

（訂位時不知道全部的價錢）

這一句也就等於：

If the hotel had correctly communicated the total cost of the stay at the time of reservation, we would have never staid there.

跟範例一相比，這個範例的主詞、受詞和句子順序都比較複雜，但是依然使用相同的文法規則，過去假設條件句。
