Inception
"The subject's mind can always trace the genesis of the idea.
True inspiration is impossible to fake."
"It'll take more than the occasional stuffed animal to convince those children they still have a father."
"No, not just money: the chance to build cathedrals, entire cities- things that have never existed,
things that couldn't exist in the real world......You told me that in the real world I'd be building
attic conversions and gas stations. You said that if I mastered the dream-share I'd have a whole
new way of creating and showing people my creations. You told me it would free me."
"In a dream your mind continuously does that......It creates and perceives a world simultaneously.
So well that you don't feel your brain doing the creating.
That's why we can shortcircuit the process......By taking over the creating part."
"Architecture. Build a bank vault or a jail, something secure,
and the subject's mind will fill it with information he's trying to protect."
"Arthur, maybe you can’t see what’s going on, maybe you don’t want to.
But Cobb’s got problems he’s tried to bury down there.
I’m not going to open my mind to someone like that."
"It’s not just about depth. You need the simplest version of the idea,
the one that will grow naturally in the subject’s mind. Subtle art."
"This isn't the usual corporate espionage, Mr. Saito. This is inception.
The seed of the idea we plant will grow in this man's mind.
It'll change him. It might even come to define him."
"No. Positive emotion trumps negative emotion every time.
We yearn for people to be reconciled, for catharsis.
We need positive emotional logic."
"These are moments I regret.
Moments I turned into dreams so I could change them."
"You think you can just build a prison of memories to lock her in?
You think that's going to contain her?"
"Cobb, you might have convinced the rest of this team to carry on with the job.
But they don't know the truth......The truth that at any minute you might bring a freight train
through the wall. The truth that Mal is bursting up through your subconscious.
The truth that as we go deeper into Fischer, we're also going deeper into you-and
I'm not sure we're going to like what we find there."
"It might have been your idea to push the limits, Cobb.
But you’re not responsible for the idea that destroyed her.
The idea that her world wasn’t real... that was her own idea from her own mind.
Your guilt defines her. Powers her.
If we’re going to succeed in this, you’re going to have to forgive yourself,
and you’re going to have to confront her.
But you don’t have to do it alone."
"There's something you have to understand about me. About inception.
You see, an idea is like a virus......Resilient...Highly contagious, and an idea can grow.
The smallest seed of an idea can grow to define or destroy your world..."
"What are the distinguishing characteristics of a dream?
Mutable laws of physics? Tell that to the quantum physicists.
Reappearance of the dead? What about heaven and hell?
Persecution of the dreamer, the creator, the messiah?
They crucified Christ, didn't they?......
No creeping doubts? Not feeling persecuted, Dom?
Chased around the globe by anonymous corporations and police forces?
The way the projections persecute the dreamer?
Admit it, Dom. You don't believe in one reality anymore. So choose.
Choose your reality like I did. Choose to be here. Choose me."
"I couldn't make Mal understand that we needed to break free. To die.
So I started to search our world...Searching for the right place in her mind...
And when I found that place, that secret place where she had shut away her knowledge
years before, I broke it open...
I broke into the deepest recess of her mind, to give her the simplest little idea."
"I wish you were. But I couldn't make you real.
I'm not capable of imagining you in all your complexity and... perfection.
As you really were. You're the best I can do. And you're not real."
"You're just a shade. You're just a shade of my wife.
I'm sorry, but you're just not good enough.")
"I miss you more than I can bear... but we had our time together.
And now I have to let go."

[Thoughts] Contemporary Harmful Working Environment
Today, I went to Taiwan International Labor Film Festival. This Festival is in corporation with Canadian Labour International Film Festival, and is held in NGO conference, near Taipei Main Station. The film I saw was a documentary, and was about how fashion industry has changed.
Nowadays, most of the fancy clothes we see at fashion shows come from sweatshops. In sweatshops, the labors work in very uncomfortable and dirty environment. They work for long hours till it's dark outside, and they quickly run back to home to avoid being harassed. When they want to use the bathroom at work, they are not allowed to. Lots of them are young females. Some of them are between 12 to 14 years old.
In one incident happened in Bangladesh, the generator in the factory went out of control and everything broke down. It went all dark. And then the factory was on fire. The workers wanted to get out of the factory to save their lives, but the door was locked to prevent them from escaping. In the end, there were 46 corpse lying on the floor. All were young females. They died just because they had to work in a factory in which they were locked.
The host invited all the participants to join discussion after we saw the film. One participant strongly thinks that, it is our moral responsibility to start doing something in order to alert people how the human society could be damaged by the deprivation of labor's rights. She suggested two ways: one is to do as much as you could to spread this whole concept to people you know. Another is to start being a labor and start doing things by yourself. For example, cook by yourself, sew by yourself, and try to experience the joy of laboring, instead of being alienated from what you have produced.
The host also reminded us, most of us would not be capitalists. We are just white-collar workers. If we watch the capitalists deprive the labors while keeping silent and doing nothing, then we can't maintain our lives, either. Because the work, the classes, the industries are all in a chain. The labors are the foundation of the chain. Blue-collars keep this chain functioning.
I feel very thankful that I have the chance to attend this event. Also, I get a lot of inspirations today. Next time, I'll go to Women's Film Festival held in summer.
By the way, before I go to this festival today, I saw another documentary by Michael Moore, it's called "Capitalism: A Love Story", and that helped a lot, too. The ideas in that movie and in the film today are interconnected, and all are good inspirations for people who doubt the existing job distribution system.

Michael Shank / Thorben Albrecht

Erin Bockovich
"Is that so? Well, it just so happens, I think I look nice.
And as long as I have one ass instead of two, like most of the "girls" you have working here,
I'm gonna wear what I like, if that's alright with you?"

"Working hard!!? Why you little...Let me tell you something - I've worked all my life. I built a firm and kept it alive through lawsuits, injunctions, and evictions. I have survived a quadruple bypass, cancer, being born with one kidney and having diabetes......I have personally managed to save afew million dollars over more than thirty years of getting some clients ten times that. Don't tell me I haven't worked hard enough! Don't tell me I don't have the right to stop..to take a fucking breath and enjoy my life. And what the hell do you know about any of this anyway!? Something like this, Erin -- it could take forever. They're a huge corporation. They could bury us in paperwork for the next fifteen years. I'm just one guy with a private firm."
"Well, come to think of it, we did have a big event around here. Beth started talking......We were sitting around at lunch and she pointed at a ball and said, "ball." I'd never seen that before -- someone's first word. Pretty intense."

延伸學習:come to think of it 這樣一想的話
(1) come to think of it, it wasn't that bad:
(2) come to think of it, it might not be a bad idea:
(3) come to think of it, I've never seen one before: 這樣一想,我從沒看過

Dear Ryan:
After you left, I've always been wondering if I ever cross your mind, even for just one time. I still remember once, you promised that if you ever leave me, you'll take me with you. But now, I guess you have stopped loving me. God knows how I'd live the rest of my life. I work very hard to accept the fact that you're already gone. If you ever need me, you know where to find me, don't you? If you ever feel like loving me again, there'll be a smile on my face. If you ever come back, the door of my house is wide open. If you ever find yourself stuck in a mess, I'll go all the way to save you. Dennis told me to forget you, but I said to her: "If you ever had a broken heart, then you'd understand it's not possible to start a new love." So please, think about what we've had before. If ever, you're in my arms again, I'll love you better this time, much better. I love you, please come back.
Lisa
1. If you ever come back, there'll be a smile on my face.
- The Script, If You Ever Come Back
2. I wonder if I ever cross your mind.
- Lady Antebellum, Need You Now
3. If you ever feel like loving me again, the door is wide open.
- Clay Walker, If You Ever Feel Like Loving Me Again
4. If you ever find yourself stuck in the middle of the sea, I'll sail the world to find you.
- Bruno Mars, Count On Me
5. If you ever had a broken heart, then you’d understand, I can’t let a new love start.
- Jayne Collins, Broken Heart
6. If ever you're in my arms again, this time I'll love you much better.
- Peabo Bryson, If Ever You're in My Arms Again
7. If you ever leave me, will you take me with you?
- Barbra Streisand
8. If you ever need me, you know where to find me.
- Matthew West, If You Ever Need Me
9. Only god knows where I’d be, if you ever stop loving me.
- Montgomery Gentry, If You Ever Stop Loving Me

Shawshank Redemption, The
Red(Shawshank
"I have no idea to this day what them two Italian ladies were singing about.
Truth is, I don't want to know. Some things are best left unsaid.
I like to think they were singing about something so beautiful it can't be expressed in words,
and makes your heart ache because of it. "
Red,
"Sure you can, if you know how the system works, and where the cracks are.
It's amazing what you can accomplish by mail.
Mr. Stevens has a birth certificate, social security card, driver's license.
They ever track those accounts, they'll wind up chasing a figment of my imagination. "
wind up ahead:後來居上
wind up being richer:變得比較富有
wind up with the worst record:以最差的成績收場

Tim Bannon

"Memory is like the moment you strike a match, it soon vanishes."
1. 回憶中最快樂的一刻 - the happiest moment in my memory
2. 回憶中最難忘的一刻 - the most unforgettable moment in my memory
3. 記憶中的某處 - somewhere in my memory
4. 記憶中閃耀的瞬間 - the moment emblazoned in my memory
5. 回憶永存 - remain in memory forever
6. 記憶中的另一天 - another day in my memory
更值得紀念/難忘 - nothing is more memorable than...
- I have a memory that...
9. 忘得很快 - have a short memory
10. 我對於你的回憶 - my memories of you
11. 記性很好 - have a strong memory
12. 停留在我的記憶中 - stay in my memory
13. 包藏在回憶中 - is wrapped in my memory
14. 烙印在回憶中 - is seared in my memory
15. 活在當下 - live in the moment
16. 回憶中不可抹滅的瞬間 - an indelible moment in my memory
17. 翻閱回憶的頁面 - flip through the pages in my memory
18. 回憶中的陰影 - shadow in my memory
20. 過去那些年的回憶 - my memory of years gone by
21. 練習記憶力 - to sharpen my memory
22. 將瞬間永存於回憶 - capture the moment and hold it in memory
23. 記性很糟糕 - have a horrible memory
- in memory of ...
25. 努力記住以免忘掉 - grab the memory before it slips
"Not the power to remember, but its very opposite, the power to forget,
is a necessary condition for our existence."
Better late than never!
"Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take,
but by the moments that take our breath away."

Paris Hilton,
Paris Hilton:"Before I turned 30, I felt a little different. Now that I’m 30, I actually like it. I feel that I have accomplished a lot of things personally and professionally. Also, people say that your thirties are the best years of your life, so I’m excited."
http://www.yrbmagazine.com/2011/04/cover-story-paris-hilton/
Paris Hilton:"I’m involved in my products every step of the way. My fragrances are doing really well at the moment."
http://gossiponthis.com/2012/01/06/paris-hilton-says-her-companies-have-generated-1-5-billion-revenue-since-2005/
Paris Hilton:I went out with that guy last night.
Strauss: Which guy?
Paris Hilton:(points to an actor in “Saving Private Ryan”): We were making out, but then we went somewhere where it was bright and I saw that he was black and made an excuse and left. I can't stand black guys. I would never touch one. It's gross. (pauses). Does that guy look black to you?
http://www.byroncrawford.com/2011/03/paris-hilton-i-cant-stand-black-guys.html
http://www.parishilton.com/
Paris Hilton~~
Paris Hilton:"Before I turned 30, I felt a little different. Now that I’m 30, I actually like it. I feel that I have accomplished a lot of things personally and professionally. Also, people say that your thirties are the best years of your life, so I’m excited."
http://www.yrbmagazine.com/2011/04/cover-story-paris-hilton/
Paris Hilton:"I’m involved in my products every step of the way. My fragrances are doing really well at the moment."
http://gossiponthis.com/2012/01/06/paris-hilton-says-her-companies-have-generated-1-5-billion-revenue-since-2005/
Paris Hilton:I went out with that guy last night.
Strauss: Which guy?
Paris Hilton:(points to an actor in “Saving Private Ryan”): We were making out, but then we went somewhere where it was bright and I saw that he was black and made an excuse and left. I can't stand black guys. I would never touch one. It's gross. (pauses). Does that guy look black to you?
http://www.byroncrawford.com/2011/03/paris-hilton-i-cant-stand-black-guys.html
http://www.parishilton.com/
Paris Hilton~~

1. "You know, I love you more than anyone in this world."
Yeah, I love you even more than I love
Of course! I love you much more than him/her!!
2. "I'd give anything to win your love back."
3. "I want to be the one who stays beside you,
and helps you pick up your broken pieces.
Would you let me?"
4. "You always slip into my head."
Ha ha~because you are so cute~yeah~
http://livefearlesslyxo.xanga.com/749739687/i-want-to-write-her-name-in-the-sky/
"Don't ever think I fell for you, or fell over you. I didn't fall in love, I rose in it."
祝福各位,rise in love,而不是 fall in love 哦!!

How do you take care of yourself after giving birth?
Do you eat differently to help the body recover?
(1) be relieved of all responsibilities
(2) sleep as much as you could
(3) save steps and time
(4) feel free to excuse yourself from visitors
(1) get outside
(2) physical activities
(1) consume whole-grain foods
(2) choose a variety of vegetables
(3) use nuts, fish, and vegetable oils
(4) focus on fruits, instead of snacks

3. 務實(realistic)
4. 有熱忱(passionate)
5. 自律(self-disciplined)

(Where would I be if my lifestyle keeps the same?)
